Aria Prame

Voice Instructor

Aria Prame is a Seattle-based jazz vocalist with over 20 years of professional experience and a reputation for her swinging style, creative nuance, and emotionally resonant performances. Known for her rich vocal tone and inventive phrasing, Aria has become a sought-after voice in the Pacific Northwest jazz scene, performing alongside the region's top musicians. She has worked extensively as a solo artist, releasing her album Lost and Lookin' on Pony Boy Records in 2010, as well as collaborating with numerous ensembles and projects, such as performing at Bumbershoot and recording two full length albums with local funk band Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme and recording live on KEXP’s “Sonarchy.” She has performed as part of “Women of County” series at the Royal Room and recorded the original country inspired single “Maybe” with vocalist Carrie Wicks on her album of the same name.

Aria performs regularly as one half of the vocal duo the Lark. Drawing from jazz roots but unbound by genre, the Lark blends elements of Americana, folk, and vintage pop with an eclectic selection of songs that defy categorization. The group is currently preparing to release their first album - an intimate, harmony-rich collection that reflects their shared musical curiosity and creative chemistry.
Aria's musical roots run deep in the Seattle jazz community. Her artistic voice was shaped in the vibrant clubs and jam sessions of Seattle, while studying music theory and jazz performance under the guidance of respected educators and mentors. This real-world experience has given her a strong technical foundation and a deeply intuitive connection to the music.

Aria is passionate about teaching students of all kinds and all ages, guiding them through the fundamentals of singing, jazz performance, and improvisation. Her approach emphasizes the vital connection between mind, body, and voice - helping singers build confidence, freedom, and presence in their artistry.
