SJA welcomes award-winning LA based jazz pianist and composer Tamir Hendelman for this special jazz piano workshop. Tamir is recognized for his lyrical touch, dynamic improvisation, and inventive arrangements. He has performed and recorded with artists including Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Tierney Sutton, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and is a longtime member of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. He has also collaborated with leading jazz figures including Benny Golson, Sean Jones, Eddie Henderson, Houston Person, Richard Galliano, Claudio Roditi, Graham Dechter, Wycliffe Gordon, and Scott Hamilton. As a soloist, he has appeared with major symphonies performing works such as Rhapsody in Blue and special tributes to Antônio Carlos Jobim.
